Marge and John are taking a Trip to Scotland. For the 1st week, we are driving to North Berwick, St Andrews, and Edinburgh. The second week we are taking a Tour of Scotland by Train, Boat, and Bus.
The chapel was an inspiration for the ending of the DaVinci Code.
Impressive castle on the cliffs of the North Sea that was started in 1358 and destroyed in 1651.
An evening's travelling north out of Edinburgh and over the Forth on the way to a boat trip out to the Isle of May, the island where gannets and puffins nest and where seals come ashore to give birth. The road unwound past green hills, a wind turbine standing over the hedgerows, and the tall white pylons of the Queensferry Crossing under a bright blue sky. Signs ticked off the miles into Fife — Leven, Methil, Buckhaven — with distillery and whisky walls passing by along the way. Six hours of moving light, signposts and sea air.
Visiting Crail and the Royal Borough of St. Andrews. Did not go to see the golf course. We saw the remains of the cathedral and castle.

Today we took the blue and red route sightseeing tour bus, around town. A day to rest our feet. A couple stops along the way.
Starting our train adventure around the Highlands of Scotland.
We are staying in the Kingshouse hotel and traveling to Mallaig today. In Fort Williams, we visited the Highlands Museum.
We took a bus to Orban to take a Ferry to the Isle of Mull. But we could not get the bus on the Ferry because the ramp on the island was broken. We are going to Inverary Castle. Home of the Duke of Argle, the head of the Campbell Clan.
Leaving Kingshouse Hotel and traveling to a Hotel on Loch Ness. Visiting the locks called Neptune's Staircase, then a cruise on Loch Linne.
We took a cruise down the Caledonian Canal into Loch Ness and went towards Urquhart Castle and back. Spent the afternoon in Inverness. We visited the Inverness Castle experience.
We visited Eilean Donan Castle, took the bridge to the Isle of Skye, traveled back to Inverness by train.
Taking the train from Inverness to Edinburgh and staying on the Royal Mile before flying back home tomorrow.
